René Mouris timepieces are water-resistant from 30 to 100 meters, as indicated on the case-back. This water resistance is guaranteed only when the crown is firmly pushed in or screwed in properly.

It is recommended not to use the functions and settings of your watch when it is wet and DO NOT use the functions and settings while is immersed in water.

Clean the case and bracelet regularly using a soft cloth to prevent any corrosion caused by perspiration. All water-resistant products can be cleaned with a toothbrush and soapy water, and then dried with a soft cloth. After being worn in the sea, the product must be rinsed with warm fresh water and then dried completely.

A well-sealed watch will transmit your body warmth to the air inside your watch, therefore if suddenly plunged into cold water, the sudden cooling on the outside of the watch can cause condensation, usually in the form of a mist of small droplets under the glass. This will normally evaporate after some time of wearing.

RENÉ MOURIS quartz or quartz chronographs are having the incomparable precision of quartz. Their power reserve is usually more than 2 years in continuous use. If you plan not to wear your quartz or quartz chronograph for several weeks or months, we would advise you to store it with the crown pulled out to the position that cuts the electrical power supply to the motor, thereby extending battery life considerably.
